ARTIQUE is a locally owned Art Gallery & Gift Shop in Kamas, Utah. They carry all handmade goods by local artists in Summit County featuring Ceramics, Fiber Art, Glass, Jewelry, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and more! Artique’s owner Katie Stellpflug openly celebrates newcomer artists to their co-op and feature a new artist each month.
I have visited the store for years and each time I find a few new treasures. This time I got to speak to Katie about her store and its beginnings as I purchased a few gifts for family. I was delighted when she purchased one of our new Park City Shopping Totes with proceeds going to the Kimball Art Center in Park City. Katie and I discussed a few ideas for up-cycled totes from Mountain Flower Apparel that will be available later this Spring.
Artique is located at 283 North Main Street, Kamas UT 84036 and they are open Thursdays – Sundays from 11 am to 6 pm. If you have a creative talent Artique is always looking for new artists and those to volunteer a few hours of their time each month. You can reach Katie & the shop at (435) 640-8048 or by email at email@example.com
TumbleweedandCactus on TripAdvisor perfectly captured the uniqueness of Artique with “Kamas, the gateway to the high Uintahs, is booming! One of the fun new additions is Artique, an eclectic little art gallery on the north end of Main Street (towards Oakley). The gallery features a collection of around 15-20 different local artists with a wide variety of work. What’s especially nice about the gallery is the wide range of price points. This isn’t like walking into a Park City gallery. In fact, as a cooperative, you’re likely to meet one of the many artists working the gallery that day. Work in the gallery ranges from fabric art to photography to metal work and more – including local pickles for a change of pace. It’s a fun place and worth a weekend drive or a visit on the first Friday evening of each month for the featured artist social.”
